January's IHSW

*Sigh* I need new glasses which should arrive next week. Can you believe it was cheaper to get 2 new pairs of glasses (regular and sunglasses) rather than just getting the lenses replaced in my current frames?

Anyway this month's IHSW I worked on the "Who? Me?" Chart and this is where I got up to:

IHSW progress
Progress in the last 2 days.
I'm so close to finishing, definitely by the end of the week! I've received the fabric I ordered for 2 HAED pieces - Mini Curl up with a good book and the SAL. Both have been cut to size and zig-zagged. Once I've finished "Who? Me?" I will start the SAL piece.

I must say ever since I got a Kobo earlier this month, I've become a bookworm once again especially as my library has ebooks. I still read actual books (can't replace holding one) but an ereader is certainly easier when in bed and travelling.

Hope you are all having a good week.

Nearly IHSW

With the International Hermit and Stitch Weekend upon us I thought I'd share where I've gotten with my stitching so far.

With tatty ted I've reached the half-way point but now he can only be worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays as he'll be a present so needs to be hidden now that it's becoming more obvious what he is. I'm not sure if the person still reads my blog but to be on the safe side this will be the last post about him until he is given to the recipient.

I'm nearly at the half-way point with the Who? Me? Chart, again it'll be given to someone but doesn't read my blog.

I hope you all have a good weekend and I look forward to your IHSW posts.

First TUSAL post of the year

I decided to join on the TUSAL this year, there's a link on my blog for you to find out more. I picked a small jam pot as my stitchy bug hasn't been around much lately.

I haven't been able to work on 15 different projects in the first 15 days of January but just after Christmas I started a Tatty Ted cross stitch and then on new year I started "Who? Me?" by JE featured in The World of Cross Stitching. (Yes,  my original list of 15 has changed a bit but I did get a few kits over the festive period.) I'm nearly at the halfway point on both of them, so here's my progress:

I've just finished reading "The hundred-year-old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared" by Jonas Jonasson. It was fairly interesting to read the predicaments Allan has got himself into and how he managed to get out of them over the years. He still manages to cause a bit of a disturbance as a centenarian. In the same day, I also started and finished "The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe". Over the holidays I read "The Nearly-Weds" by Jane Costello which was funny.
