Another company heading for retirement

Broderie.net are retiring this September. It isn't a well known site but there are some lovely designs on there. I will warn you that the website is in French.

I'll be back with some more posts soon about my trip to the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at Bowes Museum and two garments that I have sewn.

A lovely summer exhange

Every year I have an exchange with Sarah, I always look forward to it and this year was no different. Sarah puts together gorgeous exchanges.

Our theme this year was our favourite season, Sarah chose winter and I chose summer. Here are photos of the parcel I received from Sarah.

My parcel to Sarah hasn't arrived yet but I'll add photos once it does.

Thank you again Sarah!

Prairie Schooler

I thought I'd write a quick post to make all of readers aware that Prairie Schooler will be closing early next year as I know a lot of you stitch their designs.

Make sure you get a hold of all those designs that are on your wish lists!

IHSW

Not much stitching this weekend as I've spent a lot of time gaming due to a double xp event :P However, I did and start and finish this small grumpy cat kit by Luca-S.

It's cold here in the UK! This was my first trip to Nazaré, Portugal and it won't be my last...I only burnt towards the end of the holiday which is a record!

A few finishes

I've been meaning to post this since the start of last month but I didn't get around to it. I do indeed have a few finishes but I thought I'd let you know (since I've talked about it a few times) that my first year at uni has ended well. I just need to do another assignment for a support module.

I've finished 4 small projects:

1) A card which was free with an issue of The World of Cross Stitching which I forgot to take a photo of before sending it!

2) A quick L*K stitch for my Dad as a house warming present

3) A small section of the Fleur de Lys SAL that was on Brodeuse Bressane's facebook group. I intend to make this into a card.

4) Another L*K, Welcome Baby for a friend.

I've bought a lot of some fabric recently and now that I've sorted out the sizing of the patterns, I'm going to try and get around to actually making some of them! I have made a beach cover up but need to grab a better photo at a later point and then I'll write a post about it.

I have managed to finish off the quilting for one of the duffel bags, it now just needs to be made into a bag however I am not 100% happy with the webbing that I bought so will have to buy another before putting it together.

I'm currently working on some stitching for an exchange so no photos of that at this point but I will share one of my current view...

I'm sorry I have taken so long to write this and promise to definitely blog at least once a month!

Royal Paris Table Runner

This is how far I am with the table runner:

Royal Paris Table Runner 19.05.15

I was gutted the other week as I had to unpick the dark shade in the leaf which when you have little time to stitch is frustrating. Saying that, my last exam is tomorrow so I'm hoping to get a lot of crafting done. I need to pull my finger out to get the two table runners and one of the duffle bags done by the end of June!

I'm stitching this little guy up for a card but his nose is one block out of place.

Minerva Craft's eBay shop had some £100 lucky dip bags for £10. I've bought a cross stitch bag (now sold out) as well as a sewing bag. I got some nice goodies in the cross stitch bag, sadly the sewing bag was not as good but there were items that I can put to use. I picked up a couple of other bargains from eBay...I will admit that I will be on a stash ban from July to September.

Amazon had a half price sale on some Design Works kits so I caved...I'll post a photo when they arrive.
