A new start and an update

I've started one of the table runners for my partner's family. This is a Royal Paris kit, it has taken some getting used to stitching with 4 strands. Some of the stitches I'm not entirely happy with.

It seems to be taking longer than usual to stitch on this one but I think that's due to the spacing of the cross stitches .

I've put quite a few stitches into the wedding sampler which I worked on for 2 days. I'm trying to work a system where I don't get fed up with the mass of blue. It's a small project and not all mass sections of colour make me feel this way but for some reason this one does.

I'll either continue with the table runner or work on one of my WIPs that are on my crazy list. I've decided no new starts unless I finish one of my WIPs, this is because I have plenty of stash (there's more on the way) and if I started whatever took my fancy then nothing will get finished. I've got about 16 WIPs at the moment so plenty to occupy myself with :) However, the JEC SAL will not be subject to this rule.

  1. I am the same way with mass amounts of the same color - you need something to break it up the monotony sometimes, but it's going to be lovely! Great job on both projects!

  5. Hello~ :D

I am loving your table runner, it seems like it is one of those stitches that would be so satisfying to do. I am okay with large blocks of color as long as they're contained.
